The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) Thermoforming Division has announced the cancellation of the 26th annual SPE Thermoforming Conference®, which had been scheduled for September 11-13 in Orlando, Florida. Division chair Bret Joslyn has released the following statement:

As Hurricane Irma continues to make its way toward the United States,  SPE recognize the serious threat that the storm poses to the State of Florida, its residents, and surrounding areas in the storm’s projected forward path.

The safety of attendees is the paramount concern to the SPE Thermoforming Division.  Hurricane Irma poses this threat, and as a result, we announce the cancellation of the 2017 SPE Thermoforming Conference in Orlando, scheduled for next week.

SPE has already received inquiries pertaining to the rescheduling of the event and to refunds.  Leadership team is currently reviewing all options to address these questions and concerns.
